Here is a ''classic'' US trilobite. This is Sthenarocalymene celebra from the Silurian of Illinois. The trilobite is well preserved in an outstretched position and exhibits fine detail. It is extremely inflated and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present, and the individual thoracic segments are easily seen. The bug has good color and contrast and is well presented on the dolomitic plate. This is a nice example of Sthenarocalymene from a renowned site that is now closed to collecting.
