This is a very interesting specimen of Silurian trilobites. There are two examples of Fragiscutum glebalis on this block. Both trilobites are complete and semi-enrolled. The trilobites are well preserved and actually much better than what the picture shows. The bugs have the free cheeks present and tightly attached. Even the pygidia of the trilobites are intact. The ancient arthropods are very inflated and exhibit fine detail. The cephalons of both trilobites are covered with extremely coarse pustules, and the knob-like eyes are clearly defined. The fossils have very nice color and contrast and are wonderfully perched atop the block of matrix. This is a pleasing specimen of these unusual Silurian trilobites.
