This is an unusual association of organisms. It is a plate with three different crinoids and a trilobite from Crawfordsville, Indiana. The trilobite is Hesslerides bufo, a very collectible Mississippian trilobite. The bug is enrolled, and both free cheeks are tightly attached. The crinoids are (from top to bottom:) Barycrinus crassibrachiatus, Cyathocrinites iowensis, and Sarrocrinus varsouvensis. This uncommon grouping of crinoids has great detail and displays beautifully on the natural limestone plate. This is an extremely rare assemblage of a Mississippian trilobite and crinoids preserved together on the same rock.
