This is a very appealing specimen of Ceraurus sp. from the Ordovician of Ontario. This inflated trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. The bug is quite prone and exhibits fine detail. The long, sweeping genal spines are clearly defined, and the lengthy pygidial spines are easily seen. The thick-shelled, chocolate-brown exoskeleton of the trilobite contrasts well with the gray matrix. The bug displays beautifully on the almost rectangular plate of limestone. This is a very aesthetic specimen of one of everybody's favorite trilobites.
