Here is a striking specimen of Onnia superba from the Ordovician of Morocco. This trilobite is very 3-dimensional and preserved in an outstretched position. It is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The large, bulbous glabella is easily seen, and the extremely long genal spines are clearly defined. The trilobite has been prepared in high relief - the bug appears to be ''floating'' above the matrix. The long, thin genal spines and the occipital spine have all been meticulously prepared in a free-standing manner for optimal display. The fossil has excellent color and contrast and is beautifully presented on the sculpted plate of matrix. This is a stunning example of this Trinucleid trilobite from Morocco.
