This is a very rare US trilobite. It is an Isoteloides flexus from the Ordovician of Utah. This specimen is unusually well-preserved and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. This specimen is extremely prone and exhibits superb detail. The small, protruding eyes are easily seen, and the long, thin genal spines are complete to the very tiny tips. The trilobite has beautiful color and contrast and is almost perfectly centered on the squared plate of matrix. And best of all, there is NO REPAIR OR RESTORATION to this excellent trilobite. This is an outstanding specimen of this highly uncommon trilobite from the Fillmore Formation.
