Here is a very attractive specimen of Crotalocephalus gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. This large trilobite is extremely 3-dimensional and wonderfully articulated. The bug is well preserved in an outstretched position and exhibits very good detail. The small eyes are quite distinct, and the short genal spines are easily seen. The triangular pleurons terminate in sharp points, and the pygidial spines are intact and clearly defined. The trilobite has beautiful, natural coloration and contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. It is well presented on the rectangular block of sculpted limestone. This is a fine example of this odd-looking trilobite from Morocco.
