Here is a unique trilobite that we recently acquired from the DeRosear Collection. This is Colpocoryphe rouaulti from the Ordovician of France. Doug acquired this specimen in 1981, and it has been in his collection ever since. This trilobite is extremely robust and wonderfully articulated. The fine detail of the bug is quite evident. The orangish color of the fossil contrasts nicely with the grayish-tan matrix. It is well presented on the natural plate of rock. This is a wonderful example of this European trilobite.
