This is a gorgeous plate of trilobites from the Cambrian of Morocco. On the left side of the plate is an extremely rare unidentified trilobite. This trilobite is quite prone and exhibits great detail. This is the first specimen of this trilobite that we have seen from these layers! On the right side of the slab is a Cambropallas telesto with another partial counterpart of Cambropallas resting on top. The long wide genal spines are easily seen, and the crescent-shaped eyes are quite evident. The trilobites have outstanding orange color and contrast well with the grayish matrix. They are beautifully displayed on the large, somewhat oval plate. And the trilobites are not composited - they are totally natural to the plate! This is a spectacular specimen of two different types of Cambrian trilobites on the same plate.
