Here is a wonderful trilobite trace fossil. It is a trilobite trackway from the Mississippian of Indiana. This specimen is quite long and has outstanding detail. You can easily see how the legs of the trilobite pushed up ridges of mud as the trilobite crawled along the sea floor bottom. The trackway is well presented on the natural plate of matrix. This is one of the most distinct trackways that we have ever seen. No trilobite collection is complete without a trilobite trackway.
