This is a great specimen of Brachyaspidion microps from the Cambrian of Utah. This type of trilobite has a somewhat rectangular cephalon with short genal spines, thirteen thoracic segments, and a small, rounded pygidium. This complete trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. Even the tiny pygidium is intact. The inflated bug has very good color and contrast and is well presented on the natural plate of shale. This is an excellent specimen of this Middle Cambrian trilobite.
