This is a very displayable specimen of Hunanolenus genalatus from the Cambrian of China. This trilobite is extremely large for the type and exhibits fine detail. Usually these trilobites are found with the free cheeks missing. This well-articulated specimen has both free cheeks intact and tightly attached. The long, sweeping genal spines are beautifully displayed, and the individual thoracic segments are easily seen. The bug has good color and contrast and is well presented on the somewhat rectangular plate. This is a very nice example of Hunanolenus from the Cambrian.
