This is a stunning multiple plate of trilobites from the Wheeler Formation of Utah. There are over 140 specimens of Bolaspidella housensis, 7 examples of Baltagnostus eurypyx, and about 8 Elrathia kingi on the large slab. The bugs almost completely cover the surface of the plate - there is hardly any open area. And yet, the trilobites are not so crowded that you can't see the individual specimens. Almost all of the trilobites have the free cheeks present and tightly attached, which is extremely unusual. The black color of the bugs contrasts beautifully with the light gray matrix. And best of all, the trilobites are completely natural to the plate - there has been no compositing done to this outstanding slab! This is a very unique and highly displayable plate of different trilobites from the Cambrian.
