This is a very nice specimen of Sinespinaspis sp. from the Lower Silurian of Australia. This type of trilobite has several rows of fine pustules on the thoracic segments along with tiny pleural and pygidial spines. These features are beautifully displayed on this specimen. Although the left free cheek cannot be seen (either missing or buried in the matrix), the right free cheek and the tiny eye is quite evident. It is quite uncommon to find any free cheeks attached on this particular type of trilobite. The fossil has very good color and contrast and is well presented on the somewhat rectangular plate of matrix. This is a fine example of this Odontopleurid trilobite.
