Here is an excellent specimen of Changaspis placenta from the Cambrian of China. This type of trilobite has many thoracic segments with long pleural spines. This wonderfully articulated example is extremely large for the type and exhibits terrific detail. The short genal spines are intact and the long pleural spines are beautifully displayed. The trilobite has good color and contrast and is nicely presented on the large (3.5'' X 3.5''), natural plate of matrix. This is an outstanding example of this spinose trilobite from the Cambrian.
