This is a very collectible US trilobite from an old collection. It is a complete Zacanthoides typicalis from Nevada. This specimen is complete and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached, which is very unusual for this trilobite. The long, sweeping genal spines are beautifully displayed, and a portion of the axial spine is even preserved! The bug has good color and contrast and is nicely centered on the natural plate of matrix. This is a fine example of this difficult-to-find Middle Cambrian trilobite.
