Here is a large specimen of a rare Agnostid trilobite. This is Goniagnostus nathorsti from the Middle Cambrian of Russia. This trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits excellent detail. Both thoracic segments are well defined, and the rounded cephalon and pygidium are quite distinct. The many furrows of the cephalon are beautifully displayed. The trilobite has very good color and contrast and is nicely presented on the natural plate of shale. This is a superb example of a highly uncommon Goniagnostus trilobite from a remote area in Siberia.
