This is a great Russian trilobite. It is a large Asaphus (Neoasaphus) cornutus from the Ordovician. This well-detailed trilobite is nicely outstretched and extremely 3-dimensional. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored bug contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The robust trilobite is beautifully displayed on the large, sculpted plate of limestone. This is simply a lot of trilobite for the money.
