This is a museum quality trilobite. It is an outstretched Ditomopyge parvulus from Northeast Oklahoma. As most collectors know, Pennsylvanian trilobites are very rare - complete, prone ones are even rarer. But a complete, prone Ditomopyge from Oklahoma is almost unheard of. This specimen is fully complete with both free cheeks intact and tight. The bug is perfectly outstretched and extremely inflated and 3-D. The natural reddish coloration contrasts beautifully with the grey-green matrix. And the trilobite is one full inch long - HUGE for a bug from this site! This specimen will make seasoned collectors who are familiar with this type of trilobite green with envy!
