This is an impressive spiny trilobite. It is a complete Psychopyge elegans from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This type of trilobite has a LONG, pointed snout, long genal spines, long tailspines, and about 50 vertical spines protruding upward from the entire length of the exoskeleton. This specimen displays all of these features beautifully. The snout, genal spines, and tailspines are all intact and well preserved. The occipital ''horn'' and the entire array of 50 back spines are present and were prepared fully free-standing. Both compound eyes are nearly perfect, having almost all of the individual facets preserved. This is a very ''clean'' specimen - it was meticulously prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab. It is an excellent example of this snouted, long-spined trilobite from Morocco.
