This is a very nice specimen of Piochaspis sellata from the Middle Cambrian of Nevada. This trilobite is complete and quite large for the type. It is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The free cheeks are present and tightly attached. Both flaring genal spines are intact, and the eyes of the trilobite are easily seen. The bug has very good color and contrast and is extremely well centered on the square plate of matrix. This is an excellent example of Piochaspis sellata from the Chisholm Formation.
