Here is a stunning example of an unusual spiny trilobite. This is a very robust "Devil-Horned" Cyphaspis from Morocco. This specimen was prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Preparation Lab, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. It is obvious how this type got its name - it has two long spines protruding from the glabella. This specimen has these spines intact, and they were prepared in a free-standing manner. Along with the two nose spines, this large specimen has two long genal spines and an EXTREMELY LONG axial spine that are also free-standing and beautifully displayed. The protruding eyes of the well articulated bug are clearly defined and easily seen. The black trilobite contrasts nicely with the gray matrix. It is wonderfully presented on the sculpted plate of dense limestone. This is a ''top quality'' specimen of this spiny trilobite from the Devonian.
