Here is an excellent specimen of a rare trilobite. This is Neoasaphus ludibundus from the Ordovician of Sweden. This slightly arched trilobite is extremely robust and nicely articulated. It has very thick exoskeleton and exhibits fine detail. The individual thoracic segments are clearly defined and the large eyes are easily seen. The trilobite has outstanding color and contrast and is beautifully positioned on the large block of matrix. This is a very displayable example of this uncommon trilobite from Sweden.
