Here is an unusual trilobite. This is Ctenocephalus sp. from the Cambrian of Morocco. This type of trilobite has extremely long genal spines that extend all the way to the pygidium. This prone specimen is nicely inflated and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The fine detail of the specimen is easily seen, and the limonitic, orange coloration is just beautiful. The fossil contrasts nicely with the grayish-green matrix. It is well presented on the natural plate. This is a great specimen of a highly uncommon Ctenocephalus from the Cambrian of Morocco.
