This is a very nice specimen of Leonaspis sp. from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is quite large and very well preserved. It is extremely 3-dimensional and wonderfully articulated. The slightly arched specimen exhibits fine detail. The long, upswept genal spines have been prepared in a free-standing manner and are beautifully displayed. The "fringed" cheeks are present and the eyes are easily seen. The short occipital spine is intact and the sweeping pleural spines are very striking. The trilobite has superb color and contrast and is well centered on the sculpted block of limestone. This is a very attractive specimen of this spiny trilobite from Morocco.
