This is a rare and unusual Russian trilobite. It is a large Pseudobasilicus lawrowi from the Wolchow River area of St. Petersburg, Russia. This specimen has a unique look to it - a very round head and tail, and extremely small eyes. This type is almost as wide as it is long. This specimen is very well-preserved and is almost perfectly articulated and outstretched. The thick shell exoskeleton has great color and detail. The trilobite is nicely centered on the large matrix plate - and we guarantee this specimen to be fully natural, NOT COMPOSITED on the matrix. This is museum quality example of this collectible Ordovician trilobite.
