This is a very nice trilobite trace fossil. It is a trilobite nest (Rusophycus pudicum) from the Ordovician of Kentucky. This nest was probably made by a Flexicalymene trilobite. The nest is very 3-dimensional and is well positioned on the natural plate of limestone that is chock full of many different fossils. No trilobite collection is complete without one of these nests. This is a very detailed and collectible trace fossil.
