Now THIS is a displayable spiny trilobite! It is a large Comura sp. from Morocco. It was prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS state-of-the-art prep lab. The ''look'' of this trilobite is truly amazing. There are over 50 vertical spines on this trilobite, and all of them are free-standing. The center row of long, vertical spines gives the bug a striking ''sail-backed'' appearance. The compound eye facets are very nice, and the thick shell exoskeleton is a beautiful brown color. This trilobite is very 3-D and looks like it could crawl right off the rock. It is simply a magnificent specimen.
This is what trilobites should really look like, folks. The fine preparation work is truly incredible - it is a natural Work of Art. This is one of the most impressive spiny trilobites we have ever had.
