This is an amazing multiple trilobite plate. It is a plate of 27(!) Onnia superba from the Ordovician of Morocco. This specimen was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS prep lab, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. There are 27 examples of this Trinucleid trilobite on the slab - all 27 are complete - no parts or partials. All of the trilobites are wonderfully articulated and exhibit excellent detail. The pitted cephalic borders are quite distinct, and the thin genal spines are easily seen. The dark brown color of the trilobites contrasts superbly with the light-colored matrix. The bugs are beautifully presented on the sculpted plate of limestone. And best of all, this slab is not composited - all of the trilobites are natural to the plate. This is an extremely exciting specimen of Onnia superba from Morocco - a museum-quality example of trilobite mass mortality.
