This is an excellent example of a multiple plate of trilobites. It is a slab of Ampyxina bellatula from Pike County, Missouri. This specimen was found by Doug DeRosear in 1978, and has been in his collection ever since. The plate consists of eleven complete specimens and numerous parts and partials. The trilobites have very nice detail and are easily seen on the rock surface. The bugs are very aesthetically scattered about the limestone block - a wonderful display plate. This is a textbook example of a ''death assemblage'' of Ordovician trilobites.
