This is a fabulous European trilobite from the DeRosear Collection. It is an excellent Aulacopleura konincki from the Czech Republic. Doug acquired this specimen in 1985, and it has been in his collection ever since. The trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. The small eyes and tiny pygidium are both intact. The bug has superb detail - could it be any better? The natural yellow color contrasts beautifully with the gray-brown matrix. The trilobite is well centered on a large 4.2" X 5.0" matrix plate. This is a top quality example of this unusual-looking Silurian trilobite.
