This is a nice spiny trilobite. It is a Leonaspis sp. from the Devonian of Morocco. This type has a long, rectangular body. The specimen is inflated and nicely articulated. The bug exhibits fine detail. The "fringed" cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The extremely long genal spines are easily seen. The pleural spines and pygidial spines are nicely displayed. The trilobite has great color and contrast. It is nicely positioned on the somewhat rounded matrix plate. It is a very nice example of this type of Leonaspis.
