This is a classic spiny trilobite. It is a Dicranurus hamatus elegantus from Oklahoma. This type is one of the most sought-after trilobites from Oklahoma. This specimen is nicely outstretched on a large, 4.6" X 5" squared matrix block. Both "horns" are free-standing (one is partially restored). Both free cheeks are intact and tightly articulated. And the body spines are long and very symmetrical. Dicranurus is one of the hardest Oklahoma trilobites to find this articulated - usually the free cheeks are moved and the body spines are "jumbled". This is a very fine example of this collectible spiny trilobite.
