This is a beautiful specimen of Cyphaspis carrolli from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. It is an extremely rare natural double. Both trilobites are complete and nicely articulated. The genal spines and thoracic spines are so thin and tiny that they are translucent. For added stability, the spines have not been prepared free-standing. The trilobites are very 3-dimensional. They have great color and contrast. The trilobites are well positioned on a rectangular plate of matrix. Doug acquired this specimen April 14, 1989, and it has been in his collection ever since.
