Here is a very attractive plate of trilobites from the Middle Cambrian "Red Beds" of Utah. There are four specimens of Elrathia kingi and one example of Perenopsis interstrictus on this plate. All of these trilobites are natural to the plate. No compositing or addition of trilobites has been done to this fine specimen. Two of the Elrathia have both free cheeks intact and tightly attached. The brownish-red color of the trilobites contrasts beautifully with the pinkish matrix. The bugs are nicely positioned on the somewhat triangular plate of shale that also contains a few other partial trilobites. This is a very striking specimen of two different types of trilobites from the Wheeler Shale.
