This is a beautiful pair of Phacopid trilobites. It is a NATURAL Eldredgeops milleri double from Sylvania, Ohio. This specimen was found in the 1970's and was in an old collection until now. The trilobites are wonderfully articulated and fully inflated and 3-D. The thick shell exoskeleton ''skin'' is beautifully preserved, with the chocolate-brown coloration easily seen. Both trilobites have impeccable eyes - all of the individual facets are intact and perfect. Both trilobites are complete, outstretched, and not composited (how many Phacops/Eldredgeops multiples from this site can boast these three features?) This is a very displayable museum quality trilobite plate that is simply as good as it gets.
