Here is an unusual Trinucleid trilobite. This is Trinucleus abruptus from the Ordovician of Wales. This type of trilobite has a very narrow, pitted cephalic border. This trilobite is wonderfully outstretched and exhibits fine detail. The large glabella of this blind trilobite is very pronounced. The individual thoracic segments are well defined and the triangular pygidium is intact. The color of the trilobite is just stunning and contrasts beautifully with the gray matrix. The bug is well centered on the natural plate of shale that also contains some other partial trilobites. Although not pictured, the counterpart of this trilobite is also present and will be included at no extra charge. This is an extremely attractive Ordovician trilobite.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
