This is an eye-catching trilobite. It is an extremely large, unidentified Asaphid trilobite from the Ordovician of Morocco. This type of trilobite is usually found with no shell exoskeleton (skin) or poorly preserved skin. This prone trilobite displays the thick exoskeleton and is very inflated. The bug is wonderfully articulated and exhibits very good detail. The bluish-green color of the trilobite contrasts nicely with the brownish matrix. The fossil is beautifully positioned on the huge plate. This is a very displayable specimen of this Asaphid trilobite from Morocco.
