This is a very robust specimen of Hollardops (=Metacanthina) mesocristata from the Devonian of Morocco. This complete bug is slightly contraflexed and wonderfully articulated. The long, wide genal spines are easily seen, and the lappets of the pygidium are clearly defined. Most of the individual lenses of the large compound eyes are present. The fossil has great color and contrast and is well centered on the block of dense limestone. This is a fine example of Hollardops from Morocco.
