This is an excellent example of an unidentified trilobite from the Ordovician of Morocco. Until more work is done on the trilobites of Morocco, we are hesitant to give this trilobite a name. The Bumastoides-like trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The large eyes are easily seen, and the eight thoracic segments are clearly defined. The orangish color of the bug contrasts well with the grayish-green matrix. The ancient arthropod is nicely presented on the somewhat rectangular plate. And best of all, there is absolutely NO REPAIR OR RESTORATION to this trilobite. This is a great specimen of this scarce trilobite from the Ordovician.
