This is a very nice specimen of Phacops speculator from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite is extremely inflated and wonderfully articulated. The bug is almost perfectly prone and exhibits fine detail. Most of the individual lenses of the large compound eyes are easily seen, and the coarse granulations on the glabella are quite evident. The trilobite has beautiful color and contrast and is well presented on the plate of dense limestone. This is a very robust example of Phacops speculator from the Atlas Mountains.
