Here is an unusual trilobite from a strange location. This appears to be Olenus sp.? from the Cambrian of Sweden. This trilobite is outstretched and exhibits fine detail. The individual thoracic segments are easily seen and the tiny pygidium is intact. The glossy, black bug is well presented on a large, natural plate of shale that also contains many other trilobite fragments. This is the first one of these Swedish trilobites that we have seen.
