Here is a fine example of Paciphacops campbelli from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Kainops by the smaller number of lenses in the eyes. This ancient arthropod is outstretched and wonderfully articulated. The complete bug is extremely 3-dimensional and exhibits good detail. The granulose glabella is nicely displayed and the compound eyes of the trilobite are quite evident. The natural, caramel-brown color of the trilobite contrasts beautifully with the cream-colored matrix. The specimen is well centered on the rectangular plate. This is a nice specimen of Paciphacops from the Haragan Formation.
