Here is an excellent double specimen of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) punctatus from the Ordovician of Russia. Both complete trilobites are quite prone and wonderfully articulated. The free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The bugs are preserved in a 3-dimensional manner and exhibit fine detail. The thick-stalked eyes are beautifully displayed. The dark, caramel-brown fossils contrast nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The trilobites are well positioned on the natural block of limestone. This is an extremely aesthetic specimen of these Asaphid trilobites.
