Here is an excellent specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Devonian of Oklahoma. Kainops differs from Paciphacops in having a larger number of eye facets. This trilobite is extremely inflated and quite prone. It is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The individual lenses of the compound eyes are well displayed. The fossil has great color and contrast and is nicely centered on the squared block of matrix. This is a very aesthetic example of Kainops raymondi from the Haragan Formation.
