Here is a beautiful trilobite. This is Pseudoasaphus sp. from the Ordovician of Russia. This is, perhaps, a new species of Psedoasaphus. All of the Pseudoasaphus we have seen do not have genal spines. This specimen has short, very thin genal spines. This trilobite is almost perfectly prone and very inflated. It is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The individual thoracic segments and the large eyes are clearly defined. The yellowish-colored trilobite contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. It is beautifully centered on the large, natural plate of limestone. This is a very displayable specimen of this unusual Pseudoasaphus with genal spines.
