Here is a very fine example of Coronocephalina jastrowi from the Silurian of China. This type of trilobite has a very small glabella, eleven thoracic segments, and a huge pygidium with many segments. The genal spines are quite long and one pair of pleurons extend into spines. The pygidium even exhibits many small spines. All of these features are nicely displayed on this specimen. The bright yellow bug contrasts wonderfully with the grayish-brown matrix. It is well positioned on the block of shale. This is a very pretty specimen of Coronocephalina from China.
