This is a very nice Metacanthina barrandei from the Devonian of Morocco. The bug is complete and wonderfully articulated. The long, broad genal spines are easily seen, as are the individual lappets of the pygidium. The compound eyes are very well preserved. The trilobite is well centered on the rounded piece of matrix. The black fossil contrasts beautifully with the gray matrix. This is a very displayable example of Metacanthina from Morocco.
