This is a rare US trilobite. It is a spiny Olenoides superbus from Millard County, Utah. This large specimen was found by Eddie Cole in the 1980's and was recently acquired from a major trilobite collector. The trilobite is complete with both free cheeks intact and tightly articulated. The black shell exoskeleton of the trilobite contrasts beautifully with the light grey matrix. The bug displays very well on the large block of dense limestone. This is a very fine example of one of the most sought-after spiny trilobites found in Utah.
