Name:

This is a "different" trilobite from Morocco and we are not really sure what it should be called. The body is longer and narrower than a ''normal'' Cyphaspis and it has a thoracic spine that is extremely long. It seems to fit the description of Otarion best. This specimen is complete, with the pygidium slightly tucked downward. It is very inflated and exhibits wonderful detail. The stalked eyes and the pustulose glabella are clearly defined. The long genal spines and thoracic spine are beautifully displayed. The trilobite has great color and contrast and is well presented on the sculpted plate of matrix. This is a striking specimen of this Otarion-like trilobite from Morocco.
